History
The Company was formed in Gloucestershire in 1980
with a prime objective to become the market leader in the manufacture,
supply and installation of very high quality powder and liquids
weighing and metering equipment to the food, chemical and pharmaceutical
industries.
Continual product development and subsequent expansion led to
the relocation of the company in 1987 to 10,000 sq. feet of purpose
built premises in the thriving industrial area of Stonehouse,
near Stroud, Gloucestershire, close to the M5 and M4 and thus
with easy access to any part of the country.
In 2003 Rospen was acquired by Mass Measuring Limited, a specialist
Materials Handling group. Under this new ownership, the company
has expanded its product range and market to remain a leading
supplier of high integrity powder handling and weighing systems.
In 2006 Rospen launched a range of "Big Bag" dischargers
with industry leading containment features and installed test
plant facilities to demonstrate these products.
The Rospen facility today houses:
Sales, administration and accounts centres
Contracts and drawing offices
Design and development office and laboratory
Customer care (spares and service)
Test plant for evaluation of customer materials
Manufacturing, testing and inspection facilities
Included now in the company's wide range of products are:
Metering Screw Feeders, Loss-In-Weight Feeders, Weighbelts, Weighscrews,
Batch Weighers, Flexible Screw Conveyers, Pneumatic Conveying
- vacuum and blowing, Granulation Mills, Valve Sack Packers, Mixers,
Sieves / Sifters and Process Control Panels.
The wide range of skills encompassed within the company provides
an unrivalled portfolio of in-house process experience.
It is the experience that ensures Rospen's capability in providing
complete turnkey contracts, with a full project management service,
where Rospen's own specialised products and services are combined
with equipment from other manufacturers.
