History

The Company was formed in Gloucestershire in 1980 with a prime objective to become the market leader in the manufacture, supply and installation of very high quality powder and liquids weighing and metering equipment to the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Continual product development and subsequent expansion led to the relocation of the company in 1987 to 10,000 sq. feet of purpose built premises in the thriving industrial area of Stonehouse, near Stroud, Gloucestershire, close to the M5 and M4 and thus with easy access to any part of the country.

In 2003 Rospen was acquired by Mass Measuring Limited, a specialist Materials Handling group. Under this new ownership, the company has expanded its product range and market to remain a leading supplier of high integrity powder handling and weighing systems.

In 2006 Rospen launched a range of "Big Bag" dischargers with industry leading containment features and installed test plant facilities to demonstrate these products.

The Rospen facility today houses:

Sales, administration and accounts centres
Contracts and drawing offices
Design and development office and laboratory
Customer care (spares and service)
Test plant for evaluation of customer materials
Manufacturing, testing and inspection facilities

Included now in the company's wide range of products are:

Metering Screw Feeders, Loss-In-Weight Feeders, Weighbelts, Weighscrews, Batch Weighers, Flexible Screw Conveyers, Pneumatic Conveying - vacuum and blowing, Granulation Mills, Valve Sack Packers, Mixers, Sieves / Sifters and Process Control Panels.

The wide range of skills encompassed within the company provides an unrivalled portfolio of in-house process experience.

It is the experience that ensures Rospen's capability in providing complete turnkey contracts, with a full project management service, where Rospen's own specialised products and services are combined with equipment from other manufacturers.
