Principle and Operation
One of the many products now becoming increasingly associated
with Rospen’s success in establishing itself, as a process
systems provider, is the range of Flexible Screw Conveyors.
In a market area where the equipment can also be known as spiral
conveyor, centre-less conveyor, helix conveyor and flexible
auger conveyor Rospen have a range of flexible screw conveyors
on offer, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm diameter. In common with typical
sector standards the Rospen conveyor comprise of a stainless
steel flexible screw running in a tough but flexible plastic
tube outer with the drive unit usually located at the discharge
end of the conveyor.
Whilst the Rospen flexible screw conveyor is of a proven, robust
design and units have been supplied to handle such products
as, salt, snack flavourings, plastic beads, and animal feed
pellets the Test Facility at the Stonehouse plant is available
for trials to ensure that the concept is suitable for a specific
product handling characteristics or plant layout requirements.
